Commissionaires congratulates the Canadian Navy on its Centennial
$20,000 donated to commission paintings commemorating Navy anniversary

Ottawa, Ontario (May 4, 2010) - Commissionaires, Canada's most experienced provider of security services, is delighted to offer the Canadian Navy congratulations on its 100th anniversary and help share in its celebration. In the 85 years since the founding of Commissionaires, thousands of Navy veterans have helped to shape our organization's history and future. So it is only fitting that Commissionaires would be enthusiastic supporters of the Canadian Navy's centennial in 2010.

"Many of us are proud to have served as full or part time sailors, and we continue to share the common values of honesty, trust and serving with integrity. One hundred years speaks to the dedication and espirit de corps of the men and women who have served over the past century, and who will serve in the next," noted Captain(N) Paul A. Guidon (Ret'd), CD, Chairman of Commissionaires. "We're proud to offer our congratulations on 100 years of distinguished naval service."

In recognition of the Navy centennial, Commissionaires has donated $20,000 to commission four artists who created six special paintings that commemorate the Navy centennial. The paintings will travel across the country and be on public display at selected Navy celebrations and are also available as limited edition prints. The paintings will also be on display at the Commissionaires Annual Meeting of Divisions in Halifax, June 2010.

"We believe that capturing the history of the Canadian Navy in a series of beautiful paintings is an appropriate expression of our gratitude, and gives Canadians a visual understanding of what the Navy has achieved in the last century," Guidon concluded.
